Glow: Downtown Naperville’s Newest Mural Shines with Inspiration

I do enjoy walking through Downtown Naperville on a nice day, and lately, there’s a new reason to pause and take it all in. Right on the side of the Liam Brex store across from the GAP, a brilliant burst of color is the newest addition to the murals around downtown—a mural called “Glow,” created by local artist Maddie Peterson.

This isn’t just any mural. With its vibrant hues and uplifting message—“You are meant to shine”—it’s quickly become a beacon of positivity for everyone passing by. Maddie’s vision was to encourage each of us to let our inner light shine, and you can feel that energy radiating from every brushstroke.  When you're feeling consumed with lifes challenges, "just look up".  Look up from the sidewalk, look up from your phone - a fresh perspective is right in front of you - just look up.  

I dig it.

When I was shooting this quick video,  it was neat seeing neighbors, families, and friends stopping to snap photos or simply soak up the good vibes. It’s a reminder that art can do more than beautify a wall; it can lift our spirits and bring us together as a community.
