It’s mid-February and more home sellers are getting ready to put their homes on the market. Our photographers and other service providers are starting to get backed up because of the high demand.
With the big increase in home sellers coming down the pipeline, I want to talk about the three renovations that will help get your home sold this spring with the highest return and help you compete at a higher level:
1. Quartz countertops. If you have old granite countertops that are really thick, or laminate countertops, adding quartz countertops will make a big difference. Quartz is an amazing substance, easy to clean, and can mimic a granite look, a marble look, and more.
2. Master bathroom. Kitchens and bathrooms sell houses. Particularly, master bathrooms and master showers sell houses. If your shower needs tile replaced, do it. I can tell you that so many home sales stop at the kitchen and bathrooms because buyers see big-ticket items in need of repair in front of them. However, freshening things up doesn’t need to have a big bill. Simply updating a few things, putting in a frameless glass door for the shower, and painting the cabinets can all work in your favor.

3. Paint and carpet. You don’t want any bright or odd colors in your house like yellow or purple. Most buyers will want to change it. Allow yourself to compete at a higher level by painting in a neutral tone. Leaving the kids’ rooms the same color isn’t a bad idea, but the main areas should be neutral in color. As for the carpet, your senses tell you when a house feels new and fresh; the smell of fresh, clean carpet and paint will take over and bring better energy to your home.
These are three quick and easy tips to get you the best dollar for dollar exchange when you go to sell. If you have any questions for me or want more selling tips, feel free to reach out via phone or email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
